Despite studies showing adverse effects of social media on young adults, a new study of over 2,400 young adults finds that those with certain personality traits (high openness, extraversion, and agreeableness, and low conscientiousness) can have their anxiety reduced by social media support.
Caveat: the Big Five personality test was used to assess personality traits.
