Next.js 15 and the App Router let you build your app once and then deploy the same build to many environments (dev, test, prod) without rebuilding. You avoid hardcoding env settings at build time by reading needed config at runtime on the server (for example via process.env in SSR) so the same artifact runs with different environment values in each place. This saves CI time and keeps code the same across all environments.
