For some reason it had never occurred to me that with the React-like "my web thing is a million tiny functions" approach you actively _torture_ the JS parser, which has to pre-parse and then full-parse all of that. There's next to no eager evaluation possible.

Just got the numbers: By removing MUI from our Core Application and replacing it with a custom Living Design System that my team and I built, we were able to reduce traffic in our core app by nearly 6TB each month. It was a big step toward making the system lighter, faster, and truly tailored to our needs.
