This is really interesting! I wasn't aware just how many dropped features and efficiency improvements there are in uv compared to pip that have nothing to do with the choice of language.
It'd be really nice to have a pure #Python implementation of a package installer that makes a lot of these same improvements. Like if pip could be redesigned from scratch for the modern age. (if it doesn't already exist)
