I'm reviewing some coworker's code that parses a command's output and they use regexps in one part and `split()` + `starts_with()`[1], and noticed that somehow regexps are way more self documented (if you can read the arcane language) than cut and check code. I was itching to ask for an example line as a comment, as I usually do when I'm doing that kind of thing.

[1] the original code is #Python, but I want to make this as language agnostic as possible. Besides, `startswith()` is horrible :-P

Most Posit issues do not start with a visible failure.

They build up through configuration choices, version drift, and infrastructure decisions that no longer fit how the platform is used.

Over time, this leads to unstable deployments, timeouts, security concerns, and harder upgrades.

At Jumping Rivers, our Posit Health Check reviews configuration, servers, versions, and security to surface risk early.

0 days since random project started failing because someone decided to process a version number as a floating-point number, and didn't account for 2.10 🤦.

Took ty for a spin on my current pet project this morning. Couple of things it didn’t like that mypy and pyright are chill with. Trying to decide if it’s correctly harsher or not.
