Owncasters, you know how Owncast automatically assigns names to new chatters when they join your stream?

Wanna make those names more fun without having to enter the names one at a time?

When I first started tinkering with Owncast, I created a Python script that would upload lists of names for my Owncast instance to use.

For anyone interested, you can find that script here: git.deadtom.me/deadtom/Chat_Na

Python Tip #47 (of 365):

When you think of tuples, think of "commas", not "parentheses".

It's the commas that make a tuple, not the parentheses.

That's why this makes a tuple:
point = (1, 2)

And so does this:
point = 1, 2

This week's daily Python tips will all be related to tuples and tuple unpacking: pym.dev/how-to-make-a-tuple/

I just released pyglobegl 0.8.0 to PyPi to support the Hex Bin layer. This layer was a challenge as globe.gl relies on frontend JavaScript functions being passed to do hex height and colour calculations. I'm trialling an integration with #pyscript to let you write those functions in #python #datavis
