I've just had an AI-generated pull request end up in one of my repos, whereupon without my consent github's fucking AI tool immediately sprung on to it and started doing a "code review", spamming the PR with dozens of unsolicited comments. So now I not only have a hard-to-review AI PR, but also a dozen comments by a different AI to wade through to make sense of it all. I might just close both if they can't convince me they actually tested this.

So, remember how all the cool kids dumped #Sphinx and went for the shiny #MkDocs thing? And then used the shiny Material for MkDocs theme?

Well, apparently MkDocs 1.x is dead, and MkDocs 2.0 is coming with no support for plugins, incompatible theming system, closed contribution model and unclear licensing.

So which hype train are the cool kids jumping to these days?

Is it odd to find Python's syntax a bit ugly?

I’ve been writing in #Python for four months now, but I can’t seem to make it look clean. Perhaps it’s my inexperience with the language, but the same code in Go or Rust looks significantly better.

#Python now has a wonderful colorful REPL, and in 3.14 it also made #argparse look amazing! Check my silly tool for converting PNGs to #GIF animations! Thank you @hugovk, @ambv and everyone else involved... github.com/villares/sketch-a-d

Perl Weekly Challenge 364's tasks are "Decrypt String" and "Goal Parser". Because task 2's second example is decidedly a tribute to Andrés Cantor, that meant I needed to think "soccer" when I was thinking about the music this week... #PerlWeeklyChallenge #raku #perl #python #elixir

Honestly, I've never quite seen an ORM and migration management as good as Django. My first company job used it and it was magical for a junior dev to learn about databases
