Does anyone know of an official linter rule for redundant parentheses?

I'm so used to pycharm flagging it, but now I'm looking to cite something and check our ruff config for a check on it 🤔

@jake_stevens_haas Great question! It's still early day for me so you may actually be further ahead than I. My original ambition was to make a native screenwriting app and quickly realized following Blender's for making Add-ons in was a more attainable goal.

Before that, I was learning Builder & they do have docs on creating your own extensions: builder.readthedocs.io/plugins

Perhaps that's a good place to start for seeing what ext's are already out there.

@GossiTheDog see? Ya'll just should've sticked to plain . All these next big language prophets and "leading figures" are a bunch of digital sects and snake oil peddlers. When I actually have seen project for the first time, I was racing to get myself rid of it (cause of ruby, not project). Geez. But hey, ashes on my head, I still like good ol' over any given day. And now, let the barrage begin. Don't be shy

Wrote a little over the weekend about my favorite pattern: kwargs! It's a great little pattern.

Monday mornings are when one of my favourite newsletters, the @adafruit Python on microcontrollers one, drops in my inbox. IoT is still where my heart is, even though my more recent work has been more focused on devices that are only borderline embedded (mobile phones and PCs used as special purpose edge ML devices).

Here's a link to today's newsletter for anybody who wants to take a look:

Content warning:Python thought

Should i just dive into #python as the language where i can may hope to have all the sick things like maybe even logic programming stuff and aspect oriented programming stuff and whatnot? It feels like that’s the one language where im often not gonna lack stuff made by the community that i need to make my code a dogforsaken esoteric mess, yet it’s been years since i last tried it
