And, for the umpteenth time, I am reminded that "constructor" as a concept was an unfortunate choice to wed data and code that gums up all manner of otherwise-simple concepts in programming.
This thought brought to you by the observation that instead of passing a class to pytest.fixture, you have to pass lambda: Foo() because the symbol that you call to construct a class is also the symbol representing the class itself.
Seriously though: Go had the right idea. Hide implementation behind interface and divorce creation of the object from initialization of the object.
