The current drama around #Omarchy, #DHH, and #Framework is just another repeat of the same exhausted patterns of #CancelCulture. People are still actively searching for something to be offended by, and when you go hunting for outrage, you’ll always find it whether it’s real or imagined.
Here’s the reality: There is not a single person, company, or community on Earth without flaws, disagreements, or history. If your standard is moral purity, you’ll end up with nothing and no one.
People are attacking #Framework because they allegedly “supported” a developer with unpopular beliefs. Meanwhile:
* #RichardStallman’s personal controversies are well documented, yet we all rely on #GNU.
* #BrendanEich created Javascript, which powers the modern web. His “crime” was donating to a PAC related to #Proposition8. (Full disclosure: I’m gay. I still use JavaScript daily.)
* The mob forced #GuidoVanRossum to resign as BDFL from #Python over a syntax proposal (#PEP572).
* #LinusTorvalds has a long record of explosive behavior toward contributors, yet the world runs on the #Linux #Kernel, and somehow that is “acceptable” because it’s convenient.
* #SteveJobs was notoriously abusive to employees, yet we glorify Apple’s legacy.
* #GeorgeOrwell held political views many today would consider extreme, yet his writing is taught as moral canon.
* #Gandhi, #MLK, #Churchill ... everyone revered has shadows. Everyone.
If we judged every creator by their worst moment, their private beliefs, or their tone, there would be no science, no art, no open source, no literature, no progress.
Being uncomfortable with someone’s words or beliefs does not give you the moral license to destroy their career, reputation, livelihood, or contributions. Doing so isn’t activism, it’s cruelty dressed as righteousness.
Emotional maturity means recognizing that humans are complex. Strength comes from collaboration where we align, not tribal warfare over where we disagree.
And forgive this atheist for quoting scripture, but it’s appropriate here:
He who is without sin, shall cast the first stone.
Judge not, lest ye be judged.If you want to build a better world, stop trying to burn everyone in it.

“Запахи” в тестах — это признаки антипаттернов. Хотя причины появления запахов тестов могут быть самыми разными, сегодня мы хотим рассмотреть одну повторяющуюся тему — структуру команды , а более конкретно — проблемы в общении у тестировщиков с другими командами. Общение между специалистами важно для создания качественных тестов, потому что тест — это пересечение нескольких специальных областей знаний: - знание того, что хочет пользователь, интерпретируемое менеджментом как требования; - знание всех технических нюансов и слабых мест тестируемой системы (SUT), известное разработчикам и ручным тестировщикам; - теория тестирования, известная тестировщикам; - реализация тестов на конкретном языке и фреймворке, с которыми знакомы инженеры по автоматизации (SDET). Объединить всё это непросто; и многие запахи в тестах возникают именно тогда, когда это не удаётся сделать. В этой статье мы разберём конкретные причины появления таких запахов и их связь со структурой команды.

Wir haben uns beim Schreiben des Buches "Python für Ingenieure für dummies" Mühe gegeben kein Python Wissen vorauszusetzen. Allerdings ist das Ziel des Buches nicht, Python allgemein zu vermitteln, sondern zu zeigen wie sich mit #Python Ingenieur-Probleme lösen lassen (aufwendige Berechnungen durchführen, Optimieren, Simulieren, Visualisieren etc.)
Daher ist der Python-Grundlagenteil relativ kompakt gehalten. Zu diesem Thema gibt es aber ausreichend Material im Netz und in anderen Büchern. Der Ingenieur-spezifische Kram ist dagegen nicht so weit verbreitet.
Auf der Webseite https://python-fuer-ingenieure.de/ ist auch ein Repo verlinkt wo alle Code-Beispiele aus dem Buch als #JupyterNotebook drin sind. Da bekommt man einen guten Überblick, denke ich... 😉
