**Digital sovereignty starts on your own desktop**

The discussion around digital independence in Europe is often framed in abstract terms — as a political goal, an economic strategy, or a regulatory vision. But in reality, it begins much closer: on your own machine.

A free operating system like Linux Mint with the Cinnamon desktop environment represents exactly that approach. It’s not just an alternative to mainstream platforms, but a statement of control. Control over what your system does, what data it processes, and how transparent those processes are.

Anyone else experiencing PixelFed API usage troubles ?

- Looks like my API token not workig anymore.
- Cannot find it on my dashboard.
- Cannot create a new ("Whoops! Something went wrong" informative error)

(don't know since when I'm having those problems)

When visiting a user profile on Pixelix, a small icon at the top is indicating the Fediverse software which the profile is using. This icon can be clicked to open a dialog with more information about the software and the server.

Previous versions of Pixelix fetched this data from FediDB. With our latest Pixelix update we exchanged the FediDB dependency with our own service called FediSea.
