Just setting the LLM/AI issue aside, what rubs me the wrong way about this announcement is the phrasing "official PHP MCP SDK" instead of "official MCP SDK for PHP".
I think the PHP Group was pretty clear about that, to the point of trying to enforce it via the #PHP license. (And feel free to play lawyer about that with someone else, my point is the intention has always been clear.)
