There’s often talk about insufficient #dataProtection. Let’s say you need to encrypt specific (individual) database fields at rest. Do you know if your DBMS is running on an encrypted drive? And even if it is, your password is still stored unencrypted in the .env file. Is your web server’s hard drive encrypted?

Nehmen wir einmal an, ihr müsst bestimmte (einzelne) Felder der Datenbank at-rest verschlüsseln. Wisst ihr, ob Euer DBMS auf einem verschlüsselten Laufwerk liegt? Und selbst wenn, Euer Passwort liegt ja unverschlüsselt in der .env-Datei. Ist die Festplatte Eures Webservers verschlüsselt?
