I bought myself a little 5.5" control #display for my future #youtube and #peertube videos. A Feelworld F5 Pro with a native 1080p resolution.
Unfortunately, my #linux workstation running #archlinux only detects the display properly every fifth time or so. All the other times it shows up as a 640x480 unknown display.
I am connecting it to my computer via an AMD WX7100 GPU and a rather high quality DP to HDMI cable.
Any thoughts or do I need to go the route of injecting a fake #edid?

I'm working on new music for my PeerTube channel.
If you're feeling rich, I've added a donation link to most videos there.
I also have a Faircamp site, which also has donation links.
The music is always free. Donations would always be nice, but I even allowed downloads for free because sharing music is more important to me than the money. I'm a member of ASCAP. The $3/year in royalties I get from them (mostly because when Britney cut off her hair and attacked Justin Timberlake's car - it was him, right? -, one of my more psychedelic songs got used as backing music on a TV show reporting about it), are way beyond sufficient for the year 1523.
Or, if you're rich enough to toss a dime my way, instead, please give money to needy people on the fediverse. I can provide links.
More to come! But first, you know, I have gripes to gripe. And chores I was avoiding by griping.
