When I launch the PeerTube video in the frame, I get a warning that watching it may reveal my IP address.
Since I watch through a browser that should avoid that risk, I’m not too concerned.
I’m still curious though. What’s the origin of the risk with PeerTube and can one of you help me understand it.

I've uploaded a few more videos to my makertube.net #PeerTube account, and I'm getting the hang of the captions so have edited a few to be a bit more accurate. I've also shelled out for a couple of gadgets which should improve the quality of my future posts - some cheap wireless lapel mics with wind muffs, so I will hopefully have less problems with mumbling and speech being obliterated by wind noise, and an HDMI video capture card which I can use for doing screen captures without pointing a camera at a screen. I'm planning on doing some Linux install videos, which involve making changes in the BIOS setup, which obviously can't be done using screen capture software.
It's pretty eclectic at the moment - going to have to work out how to organise these into separate themes (channels maybe?) - with some vids from my recent ramble on the Shropshire Hills.

Mais, partager une vidéo qui dénonce le racisme et la xénophobie sur une plateforme qui alimente et propage comme aucune autre le racisme et la xénophobie ( #X ou les #MAGAM ), c'est tout de même un VRAI problème ‼️
Avoir en tant que média INDÉPENDANT ou organisation militante défendant les droits humains, un usage purement instrumental du numérique, autre prétexte de faire de l'audience, des vues et des "like", c'est tout de même une contradiction qu'il faut urgemment dépasser !
On ne gagnera pas la bataille idéologique sur le web contre des algorithmes ! Refuser de voire cette réalité, c'est se mettre volontairement des œillères ! On peut partager la vidéo sans recourir aux #GAFAM 🤮 (ici, la vidéo est carrément sur #X 🤮 💩🤮 💩 ) en utilisant une des nombreuses instances du #logiciellibre #peertube ‼️ 🤩
