I'm currently migrating my videos to my own #peertube instance (https://video.fraxoweb.com/a/frank)
And I was thinking:
Once I am done with the migration, I would actually feel confident deleting my #youtube channel.
YouTube is owned by #google , an american company. Not only I do not trust it, but as a Canadian, I don't believe my future is there.
I've been making videos since 2022 and my channel got monetized in 2024.
While it is mostly a hobby, the revenue that I make from it is very small, and I don't depend on it.
I also have #owncast (https://live.fraxoweb.com), I could also delete my #twitch and #kick accounts too.
Anyways, we'll see what happens.
