I'm currently working to delete my #rumble account.
I respect its Canadian origins, and YouTube definitely needs an alternative that is competitive.
But I don't believe my future lies there, and I only made pennies after years of upload.
In the end, Rumble will have the same problems that YouTube has.
For example, I just read the Wikipedia page and learned that Rumble services are hosting Truth Social, Trump's social media. Rumble was also funded by american billionaires like Peter Thiel.
I'd much prefer put my energy in a system that I can trust: decentralized, federated, open source, and that gives power to the people.
A few days ago, I even created my first #peertube instance (https://video.fraxoweb.com/a/frank) and I think this is where I wanna put my energy.
That being said, I think I will still keep my #youtube channel for a while because that's where everybody is, that's where I can get expose for my videos and I'm also getting a bit of revenue.
But one day, I'm aware that I'm probably going to delete my YouTube channel as well.
