In the darkness of night comes the dread of reality, for the days of turmoil and pain fail to cease in the night, the demons steal your peace as they fill your sleep with nightmares, so when your body finally shuts down for the brief moments of rest, your slumber is stolen leaving what escape even for a moment a dream blowing in the wind, for how long can your mind survive the decline it is fighting, how long can your body hold as the decay rots away your strength, for if in night one thinks of rest and peace, it is the morning sun that becomes a warning of what is to come, for endurance becomes not a feat of courage but of spite out of defiance, for your soul has long let go, as your mind and body refuse to fade away;

For upon this day we slice and dice this here potato along with this onion, to which we toss in the skillet with butter and tenderly sauté until golden brown with a subtle crunch, here it is we declare, no vodka will you be, but a meal unto me, for the mighty potato and it's companion root onion, bring forth a burst of flavor as cracked pepper coats the buttered hash, to which an egg to add with a tad of shredded cheese, and from skillet to plate out palates await the symphony of gently fried root foods;

I am on a little bit of sensory overload at the moment, I have had a few things to do over the past few days, my body and mind struggled to do what used to be an extremely easy, that in it's self has caused a bit of internal emotional discord, then this morning I was blessed with the resources to buy food and a few other things I really needed right now, I ordered them and my food was delivered and the action of waiting and receiving then putting away, has my mind spinning in a circles, focus is hard to find on "average" days, then when a "good" day shows up such a blessing as they are spin cycles that can be overwhelming, when you exist in difficulty and scarcity, the moments of use you can be and then having the ability to fill some little needs of your own, can be a lot to process, the older I get the deeper my issues go and these exciting helpful moments are like a brief high of hope to be;
