Wenn man Linux Mint und ausschließlich deren "Anwendungsverwaltung" nutzt, dann erhält man alle Updates für die installierten Programme (nativ + Flatpak) und auch für das Betriebssystem zentral über die "Aktualisierungsverwaltung".
Alles per Mausklicks ohne Terminal.
