It took them a year to get a great version of Elementary OS 8, but version 8.1 now feels really good. Surely a few things can get better (e.g. the Dock showing open apps that don't have a .desktop file in place), but overall, it's good. If you're after a MacOS-like experience out of the box, this is the distro to try!

And in case this is not clear about work fields I dive into: all of the upcoming ideas, work, docs and code on #Polis will be fully #OpenSource and contribute to the #DigitalSovereignty of those who will use it. As a webtool and a data analysis + visualization tool an EU compliant #Polis will need to be well explained so that decision makers will be empowered to understand underlying algorithms and why things appear on screen as they do.
