I wrote a script to convert PNG files to CPP in Python. It was kinda fun as I, in a weak moment, actually thought about using AI to generate a script, as the scope is fairly small and it was just intended as a one off thing. When I did do that though I felt bad about outsourcing my own brain, like I am betraying myself and secretly wished it wouldn't work. Thankfully the generated code ended up not working. It was close but the colors were a bit off. I probably could have given it a second try and it would probably work then. However I did use the chance to recover from that slip up and decided to write the script myself. It ended up being a lot of fun and reminded me of my early days of programming with clear problems and simple answers. Automatic stuff and having a processor compute all those pixels in a fraction of a second still feels like magic.
