After several months of collaboration and production rollout together with Swisscom, I am more than happy to announce check_ilorest.
check_ilorest is an #opensource monitoring plugin to monitor the #hardware health of #HPE ProLiant servers.
It can be integrated into classic #monitoring software but is also capable of changing the output to a #Prometheus metrics exposition format, making it possible for scraping.

This week has been rough so far. I don't feel like getting into details right now.
However, today has been good. I have been able to work on my Meteor Defense game. I have the meteors spawning in. I have interactions between the meteors, missiles and cities functioning as they should.
Next step is to add some explosions, destroyed city sprites, and then scoring. Once that is done, a splash screen and a game over screen.

Why bridge HTTP/1.1 with Server-Sent Events (SSE)? 🌉🤔
The `http-mcp-bridge` from NCC Group lets you test remote MCP servers using HTTP+SSE transport. It works by translating standard HTTP requests into SSE-compatible streams via the Python `mcp` library. Handy for security tool integration!

🚀 FreeBSD Celebrates The Milestone Of Reproducible Builds & No Root Needed - Phoronix
「 Building FreeBSD release artifacts no longer requires root access to create device files, set proper ownership, and mount file systems during the build process. This has improved security and made automated builds simpler 」

Upgraded my Laptop (ThinkPad T480) from 14.3-STABLE to 15.0-BETA3. Did only take ~2.5 hours (makeworld, makekernel ..)
Everything reasonably stable, iwlwifi with 802.11ac performing like a beast (300-500 Mbps on 80Mhz channel)
Only issue: GPU firmware isn't loading. Neither from -quarterly, from -stable or from the current ports tree :(
GPU itself works fine with the DRM driver, just missing some power-management capabilities.
KLD i915_kbl_dmc_ver1_04_bin.ko: depends on kernel - not available or version mismatch
i915_kbl_dmc_ver1_04_bin: could not load binary firmware /boot/firmware/i915_kbl_dmc_ver1_04_bin either
drmn0: could not load firmware image 'i915/kbl_dmc_ver1_04.bin'
drmn0: [drm] Failed to load DMC firmware i915/kbl_dmc_ver1_04.bin. Disabling runtime power management.
