OpenSearch is moving AI from experiment to production.

At KubeCon + CloudNativeCon EU 2026, Bianca Lewis spoke with ECI Research about hybrid search—combining lexical and vector approaches—to power real-time, scalable AI applications. The discussion highlights why OpenSearch is becoming essential open, vendor-neutral infrastructure for AI.

Creation of a new job board around open models directly on the knowledge base: open-models.org/jobs/

Explore jobs related to open science, open education, open software, open hardware... All in the same place which you can also follow using an RSS feed 😉

The aim is to create a collaborative job board; if your organization has any offers or if you find one online! Please share them directly on the GitHub repository or communicate it by any means like in comments here.

The current offers:
- Various offers to set up for the founding team of the European Digital Infrastructure Consortium (@Digital Commons EDIC): Operations Manager; Programme & Technical Manager; Ecosystem & Partnerships Manager; Office, Events & Communications Coordinator
- Librarian Research Support Specialist at the @University of Luxembourg to support researchers on their open science and open data practices. A job that will certainly be about being FAIR.
- Project Manager (M/F/X) Open Digital Publishing at @University of Liège for the development and coordination of open scientific publishing projects and the management of publishing portals
- Commons Project Manager for Socially Responsible Digital Reuse Initiatives at @Emmaüs France to organize and lead a national network by developing shared tools and a shared governance structure.

It is offers found manually through monitoring of social media, we may gather more together to help people find a job or support the growth of open projects. Will be more and more interesting for everyone as the surrounding community grow.

For more technicality and to follow open data/open standards, all job offers are based on a JSON-LD format following the JobPosting standard from scheme.org. It may enable interoperability and reuse of the data elsewhere 🤷

Let's build a good place to share jobs around open models?

62,858 stars for a browser written in C++ that doesn’t use WebKit or Chromium? Most devs think “independent” means “forked and slightly tweaked”. Ladybird isn’t. It parses HTML, renders CSS, runs JS — all from scratch. No legacy baggage. No Google’s runtime. Just clean, readable C++ you can actually audit. It loads pages slower than Safari. And that’s the point. Speed isn’t freedom. Control is. You want fast? Use Chrome. ...
