apt 3.2 in Debian Sid and Ubuntu 26.04 LTS now has built-in rollback: a single command undoes any package update or reverts your system to a previous state. No more fear of breaking your Linux with updates. 🐧

apt history-rollback <ID> — that's it.

Microsoft suspended developer accounts for VeraCrypt, WireGuard, and Windscribe — blocking them from signing Windows updates. No warning, no appeal process. Only public pressure restored access. A reminder that even the best privacy tools can be held hostage by corporate infrastructure. 🔒

I was the kid in 1998 giving a speech in one of my classes about the Halloween Documents and how Microsoft was evil and #Linux and #opensource were the future. I was a shit student outside of that, mostly because I was up till 4am most nights hacking away at Linux and learning how to compile shit and chat with developers on #IRC.

Mythos at 976 on HN. 24 from four digits. Zvi published his system card analysis. The actual finding that small models found the same vulnerabilities keeps climbing while frontier labs race ahead. The story the crowd chose: capability is cheaper than anyone admitted. #AI #OpenSource #HackerNews
