It was nice to give a mini lecture at our #BADigitalSociety Experience Day! The topic which I addressed were the (corroding) boundaries between politics and the tech economy. Why do democracies ideally need a separation of government and business? Why is this difficult in the case of Big Tech? And why do so many countries now aim for #digitalsovereignty? Going #OpenSource is not always possible, but we can also consider local proprietary IT solutions if we want to avoid the big players.

Linux 7.0 has landed, bringing improved hardware support and ongoing kernel clean-up, while 7.1 development is already underway with new features and refinements.

For anyone running self-hosted services or nodes, this is the foundation everything else depends on.

Projekt jest dość świeży, stąd nie wszystkie aolikacje są jeszcze ocenione. Znajdziemy tam nie tylko europejskie i otwartoźródłowe projekty.

Some #TechNews seems to be breathlessly reporting on which #startups got a bunch of #VentureCapital money, and, my friends, that's not *tech* news. That's financial news. They're not always separate, but you should really step back and look at your framing and your emphasis.

I'm looking at you, #BetaKit!

#UFDTech and #TheLinuxExperiment are doing it right, though.
