Looks like Colorado will exempt Open Source projects from its age verification requirement. Part of me wants to cheer it on. The other part wants to call for age verification to be binned entirely.

Mozilla added Brave's open-source adblock-rust engine to the Firefox source tree as a disabled-by-default content-blocking prototype. Written in Rust, it supports the same filter rules as uBlock Origin. No user interface, no release-note mention. Firefox 149 and 150 both ship it. Brave has been Mozilla's competitor for a decade. Browser ad-blocking is moving back inside the browser for the first time since the early 2010s.
