Meetups were sometimes things where I was more inclined to go.
But now with a lot of them have moved to #meetup (dot) com and that they are sponsored by #AI companies now, contain talks about the "wonderful new world".. makes me undo my participation.
It's not fun anymore or even interesting. I don't need to be "better at typing", I want to look at the code edit and then doing things with it.
This expectation that I need to shit out piles of source code is not what I want in my life.It's as if the old scheme of paying developers on the amount of source code they produce came in some weird form back again.
From my point of view has the world gone nuts and the batshit crazy people decide if I'm allowed to survive or not.
I need to get out of this situation somehow and then let it never happen again, that I'm depending on such employers.
