Habe heute überrascht gehört, dass man mit dem Messenger #Matrix sowohl mit Signal- als auch mit WhatsApp-Nutzern Nachrichten austauschen könne.
Funktioniert das einfach so oder braucht es dafür Spezialkenntnisse?
Und wie steigt man bei Matrix überhaupt ein? Empfehlungen? Vorschläge?

Use case: The matrix client(s) I find usable do not support multiple account. With that bridge I want to emulate that.

At the office, we use MS Teams. In Linux, I have to run it on the browser. Just to chat, Firefox uses 1.5GB of memory with a single MS Teams tab. This is 150x more than the 85MB used by the #Matrix client, Fractal. I am pretty unhappy with the state of web apps. I still use two of my old computers, one with 2GB and another with 4GB, and it should be not a problem to work with them. Web apps and even reading websites is one of the most resource consuming tasks for my personal computers nowadays.

Ich bin gespannt ob und wie die Drittanbieter-Chat Integration in #WhatsApp für #Matrix später aussehen wird. Wird hoffentlich besser als die bisherige Bridge (mit alle 2 Wochen WhatsApp auf Handy öffnen).
