Tried Fluffychat yesterday as alternative Matrix client on my Linux desktop and was very disappointed to see that i does not support image pasting from the clipboard into a chat and it seems not to be planed to be implemented soon: https://github.com/krille-chan/fluffychat/issues/915
It is a really nice client, also with multi account support, but thats quite a showstopper for me 😪

Are there any ham radio friendly (or at least STEM focused) Matrix instances out there that allow sing ups? I want to encourage my ham radio club to communicate with it. I dislike Discord and most people born this millennium dislike IRC, but Matrix looks like a valid third way.
The one ham related option I found won't let me create new accounts. Yeah, I could setup my own instance, but I have no idea what the maintenance burden will be.

Hmmmm, setting up cursed Radicale + CalDAV/CardDAV + database synchornization via Syncthing (already used for file storage), throwing a DAV server on my server rack or digging into the rabbit hole of building calendar sync via matrix as < polycule > feature ?
Or any other solutions ? I'd just like to sync my current offline calendar of my Linux with my Android. Syncthing right now is the only synchronization I use.

I deleted #Whatsapp 2 years ago and its fine, I only kept #Matrix and #Signal.
It's worth it. You can say no to #Meta.
There's no legal requirement to use Meta apps.
At least not yet.
