A huge @element #matrix #UX issue in their web #UI ..
Invite a new person to a DM #chat, and start typing a long introductory text.
Then, seeing that part of that text is useful to send to another contact of yours, navigate to that person and copy/paste a quick drop-off.
Back to the finish the introduction...
BUT:
💥 Without ANY notification at all, it is completely gone and you have to start the whole invitation procedure from scratch.
This is made extra counter-intuitive because if you leave text on the input prompt and move between rooms, it is saved and still there when you navigate back.
Sigh, back to retyping that text then.

"The sound of inevitability" from the original #Matrix film, and Agent Smith's smug faith in the inexorable clockwork force of the Matrix-defined subway train, has never felt more pertinent. The poetical ironies are raining down on all sides: the technology barons are banking heavily on the sparkly promise of intelligent agents, implemented by a purportedly superhuman "general intelligence", and their most insistent argument as to why the general public ought to stop complaining and swallow their #LLM medicine is that it's fait accompli. Why the growth figures are already staggering! Clearly the technomages have knocked it out of the park yet again, etc.
