#Federation is probably the best approach to moderation I’ve seen yet.
Sure it comes with it own problems but at least in my anecdotal experience I just don’t get confronted with the same BS I do on other platforms without being required to send in my ID. Maby it’s just the fedi community idk.

Also, ich habe ja viele Jahre Hass auf #Twitter & dann vor allem #X erlebt, ging sogar dazu vor Gericht.
Das #Fediverse inklusive #Mastodon sind um Längen besser, Trolle & Hater werden auch viel schneller erkannt und abmoderiert.
Was hier nervt ist eine häufige Selbstgerechtigkeit, die sich dann in Fragen wie „Wie kann so ein toleranter Mensch in der CDU sein?“ oder „Erkläre mir mal XY!“ äußert. Und solche Leute erwarten dann auch schnelle Antworten, weil sie gar nicht checken, dass auf sehr wenige Christdemokraten sehr viele „Anfragen“ reinprasseln.
Im Übrigen merke ich auch einen langsamen Trend zur Verbesserung, weil mutige Stimmen wie @out_of_easthofen gegen die #Arroganz ausstehen, einige Progressive dazulernen & es auch langsam mehr Moderate werden.
Ich würde auch im Vergleich zu früheren Jahren (hier 👇 z.B. 2023) sagen: Der Weg ist noch weit, aber die Richtung stimmt schon.
