Based on the current political decisions it would really make sense that #Matrix and #Mastodon add a kind of #DualRouting feature to be able to connect to #clearnet and #tor at the same time and route tor connected instances through tor and clearnet connected instances through clearnet.
that way it would be possible to give users living in a non #democracy country or in a country currently in the process changing to non #democrat one the chance to continue to use #Mastodon and #Matrix .

J’ai acheté ce smartphone, pas loué un espace pub ! Pourtant, des publicités s’incrustent partout dans les applications natives. À quoi servent-elles quand l’appareil est déjà payé ? C’est intrusif et irrespectueux pour l’utilisateur.
Je refuse que mon écran soit monétisé à mon insu. Xiaomi ne respecte rien, à rayer de la carte !!!

It was about this research thread I've been pursuing for a while on Higher Ed's complicity in the excesses of the #tech sector. I have a position paper in the pipeline with an Irish Journal on EdTech, not super clear when that will be out. The provocation is: "EdTech as Climate Criminal".

タイルを並べる今回の仕様変更って、例えば、ここではリンクは４件しか設定できないけれど、もっとたくさん設定できるインスタンスもあって、その場合、プロフィールの最新の投稿までのスクロール量が増えちゃうから、少しでも短くしようということなのだろう。
「注目」にあった10件のハッシュタグ一覧もそう。「注目」タブに入れてあったのだけど #fedibird と比べて、操作数が少し多かったんだよね。だから、最初から表示されるようにして、でも、大量にある場合は縦に並べると最新の投稿までのスクロール数が増えちゃうからタイル表示にしたという感じなのだろう。今後、10件よりも増やすことも可能になるし…。
そんな私の想像が正しければ、仕様変更の必要性は理解できるのだけど…。

次のcssを指定したら、少しは見た目が良くなった。
一行の最大が4で、一つのタイルの長さは、Javascriptか何かで計算されていて、最後は一つの長さで、一行を埋めるようになっているみたいで、それで、タイルが一つだけ余ったら長さが4になって間延びするらしい。下のcssは一つのタイルの長さを2に固定している。一行にタイルは最大で２つ。最後の一つは長さが２に固定されているので間延びしない。

A bit confused by the updates to the design for #Mastodon profiles. I like how it became easier to edit profiles and switch off boosts. The 'Following you' badge seemed logical and informative. The fact that the same info now requires a treasure hunt is puzzling.
I have no suggested featured hashtags. My Featured menu states I haven't set any hashtags, which doesn't reflect the reality; I have. They are hovering above my Activity with no label of what they are.
