Hmm, Just wondering about a possible bug with the quote toot feature.
I'm seeing quotes with the pending message, but the quoted toot shows up in the Federated timeline before the quote toot before it is approved for the quote.
Now this could just be a timing thing on my instance, but I wonder what happens if the original author denies the quote, does that still leak it to the quoter's followers?
With a low enough volume on the Federated Timeline this is pretty obvious

Can someone recommend a new Mastodon "home" that is not punishing anti-genocide users? I have a Frendlica account on faab64@venera.social but the site is very unreliable and crashes almost daily.
My current site is about to close and I urgently need a new home. I was planning to self-host, but my current financial situation does not allow me to do that.
I really appreciate any suggestion.

The creep of relentlessly improving AI will render so much of the human content on the internet indistinguishable from AI.
A prediction:
'Verified human' or AI-free platforms will attract a premium. Human made and genuine human-to-human online communications will be prized.
#Mastodon will be rewarded in due course for bucking the #AI trend and remaining resolutely human (less of course the clearly labelled reposting bots. Reposting is not the same as an agentic AI profile freely engaging online).
