I set up a secondary account to discuss stuff other than art, and I totally get why #Mastodon is unpopular. It's challenging to find people who share your interests (aside from certain niche social circles), and people don't really talk to each other very much. And if you're new, people who think they own Mastodon try to bully you because you're not following their made-up rules. I don't think it will ever be a real competitor. Which might actually be nice in the long run.

España... Mi tierra jamás pisada, mi aire nunca respirado, mi sueño nunca visto. Te has arraigado tan profundo en mi pecho que, a veces, imagino que mi sangre se calienta bajo el sol de Andalucía y que mi espíritu vaga, como una sombra extranjera, por las calles de Madrid. He deseado con toda mi alma conocerte, acariciar tus muros de piedra y sentir tu viento en mi piel; pero los muros invisibles del destino te han convertido en una leyenda inalcanzable. El hecho de no haberte visto nunca, hace que mi amor por ti sea aún más sagrado y puro.
Y ustedes... son mis amigos en esa España que amo desde la distancia. Son voces que me llaman desde tierras que nunca he visitado, pero que mi alma extraña cada día.
