@SnowyCA Chiming in here on, but off, topic a little: Mastodon software needs to have a setting users can set that prohibits them from being followed by automated accounts, also. If it is in the settings, I don't see it. Maybe even a section in the 'Follows and followers' panel to show which accounts are automated. Probably wouldn't hurt to have some kind of "master block" to block known automated accounts from even accessing or reading a profile from the fedi.
Like bridged accounts with Threads, BlueSky, and other types of accounts people may not like, this is something that maybe should be left up to user by user moderation and should be simple to do. #Mastodon
