No VFx or AI here. I just adore prisms and diffraction. I remember being fascinated by them ever since I was a child. I have memories of experimenting with them as early as 6 years old! There are so many amazing light artists out there, it's a steep learning curve.
Here is a question for you all: do #peertube ube videos bigger than 15mb actually show on #pixelfed feeds? there are so many videos that show in my timeline that have that white/blank "no preview available" window. I wonder if the same would happen to PeerTube (or even #mastodon for that matter) videos when seen from within Pixelfed. I really like the community here and would prefer to not have to move elsewhere for videos. Any thoughts?

本来は水や氷を替えながら氷水に2日ほど漬けて作るものらしいけど、1時間ほどの漬け時間でも充分パリっとした食感でいただけました

Hey Mastodon Admins/Nerds. While i am sure not everyone approves of my bot @itnewsbot , i have been running it since 6 years to provide a vluable service, and i got feedback good and bad for it over the years. However, when you look at the latest few hundred followers,they came mostly from bots or some other kind of malicious activity. (e.g. @69a4e40f690bc1b5fa05c79297fbd59cfd237015804f2ba387e61cf3091dc62a ) Can anyone enlighten me what's going on here, or better, how to prevent it? #mastodon

- you get a notification when someone quotes you
- on their post, you have a new menu to remove their quote of your post
- you confirm, and your quote is removed and shown as having been retracted
- the quote is no longer displayed on the original post

@ObsidianUrbex The cache is more likely to be populated by *incoming* media, so its size is governed more by how many you follow and what they post than what you post. I haven't looked into masto.host specifically in detail, but it might be possible to offload the media cache to external storage to conserve disk space.
If your account is well-federated, discovery is less of a problem. Relays can still absolutely help a small instance.
