We are currently on holiday at the Gronenberger Mühle (https://www.gronenberger.de/en) near Scharbeutz/Schleswig-Holstein. Weather permitting, I spend time at the nudist beach section at the Ostseetherme/Scharbeutz.
Otherwise, I spend a lot of time cycling or Nordic walking, like today in the Gronenberger Forest. As it was a quiet Sunday morning, I took the opportunity to do ‘nudic walking’ for most of the route instead of Nordic walking, i.e. without any clothes on – a wonderfully liberating feeling. I didn't encounter anyone, and even the otherwise ubiquitous dog walkers had surprisingly left the forest to me.
When I had to leave the forest for the rest of the route, the ‘nudic walking’ was over and I finished the tour fully clothed.

Three key learnings from this evening:
1. I am not good at dev-ops at all.
2. Never let a #Mastodon instance run out of storage.
Even restoring from a backup didn’t help properly. I had to upgrade the server to a new tier with more storage and RAM.
What really surprised me was that you need approximately 50–100 GB for a single-user instance. I was naive to think my initial 40 GB would be enough.

That’s bugged me since I started usin #Mastodon. The autocomplete for usernames doesn’t work reliably, so you go to a new tab and search. Then you try to copy the name you’ve found and the whole thing is clickable links that makes selecting it incredibly hard on a touchscreen and a minor challenge with a mouse. It’s not just missing the copy button, it’s making copying actively hard.
