#Mastodon hat eine neue Einnahmequelle entdeckt. Es gibt ja viele durchaus Willige da draußen - Firmen, Stadtverwaltungen, Vereine - die gerne ins Fediverse möchten, so richtig schick, mit eigener Domain, nur für eigene MitarbeiterInnen und mit eigenen Serverregeln. Aber weit und breit niemand, der sich damit auskennt, so was zu hosten. Genau da will die Mastodon GmbH nun Abhilfe schaffen, indem sie solchen Interessenten flexible und angepasste Hosting-Lösungen anbietet.
Ist das vielleicht ein historischer Move fürs Fediverse, weil damit mehr "offizielle Repräsentanz" und mehr öffentlich relevante Player in den Raum gelangen? Oder ist das die große Anfangssünde, mit der plötzlich das große Geld kommt für ein neues Mastozon oder Mastoogle?
