DONE, I've improved on my Mastodon toot eraser by making it Elixir code instead of Fish shell code, I've used Optimus to be able to pass it variables. I've done some TDD untiL I got it do to do exactly what I want (which is unlike my fish script, preserve bookmarks, favourites and pinned) and tomorrow I'll clean it up and publish it as an Escript.

Il est souvent conseillé aux personnes nouvellement inscrites de suivre quelques hashtags pour découvrir des messages et des comptes qui pourraient les intéresser. Perso je n'en suis que deux, qui sont assez peu utilisés, et c'est tant mieux.
En lisant une conversation je viens de réaliser l'évidence. Un hashtag populaire et très actif va noyer le fil principal (Home timeline) sous des dizaines de messages et invisibiliser ceux provenant des comptes auxquels on est abonné. Et en fonction de l'interface utilisée, il n'est peut-être pas toujours indiqué d'où proviennent ces posts envahissants.
Certains tags se font littéralement spammer par des pseudo comptes de news aux publications sans intérêt. Il est indiqué dans la feuille de route que les dévs de Mastodon travaillent sur les groupes (Discussion groups), qui ne sont pas encore intégrés en natif. Ils devraient au moins permettre d'éviter le spam.

@mastodonmigration We aren't truly fucked, we're here, we get it.
As for the others consuming tech and social media... i don't see the majority or even a large percentage of them ever truly understanding what we feel strongly about, why and what makes us happy to be on places like #Mastodon.
You know what though? In my view, that's ok. I try to educate where i can offline and on but at the end of the day, we all make our own choices.
That's ok with me.

Je ne sais pas si je n'ai simplement pas trouvé la fonctionnalité mais je trouve dommage que lorsque l'on découvre une personne sur une instance mastodon inconnue, on ne puisse pas simplement accéder à la page d'accueil de cette instance depuis le profil de cette personne.
La pop-up "qu'est-ce qu'un identifiant" est peut-être utile pour les novices, mais perso j'aimerais plutôt être redirigée vers la page de l'instance car j'adore découvrir de nouvelles petites communautés.
