You're supposed to be able to feature a post on #Mastodon, so it appears under the "featured" section on your profile.

How do you feature a post, exactly? I can't see a menu option to do that in the standard interface or the advanced interface.

¿Por qué nos unimos a #Mastodon?
Normalmente subimos nuestras publicaciones en X/Twitter y Telegram, pero recientemente X nos baneó la cuenta y nisiquiera nos dice la razón, lo único que sabemos es que estábamos usando el navegador Tor para más #privacidad y de la nada X nos pidió un código enviado a el correo vinculado al que no tenemos acceso, y cuando lo queríamos cambiar nos daba error. Además Mastodon es una red social más privada. ¡Bienvenidos!

Ugh #Mastodon database use is up another $10...

I appreciate things like quote posts being added to v4.5 etc. but I really feel like developers should prioritize rewriting the 'Remote content retention period code' to a more useful state. As it is now, all you can do to save remote cache space is destructive and non-reversible.

The whole Fediverse is storing rarely if ever used remote content forever, thousands of servers... such a waste of money and disk space.

what program [in the images] tracks your word counts...?

That's Scrivener. It isn't wysiwyg and not perfect, but I've been able to export reasonable ePub and docx from it, so so-far-so-good. It lets me store RegEx searches that I use during proofreading and revision. I do ALL of my Mastodon hashtag posts (but not replies) in it before copy pasting into the web-ui. Which means I wrote 14.3k words specifically for Mastodon, but many of those words did help me clarify or write passages in the wip. Some of them were short passages that later got revised into mainline line passages in wip. (Am I justifying? Yes.)
