Moderation. It’s a roller coaster.
Today, a (literal) nazi opened an account and began harassing people. We received ~80 reports within minutes. That may be a record.
We suspended the account, of course. But not before a lot of people yelled at us. For the record, this is not preventable when registration is open. We can only react. So be nice.
My gratitude and love for the person behind this report. It made me chuckle. 🫶🏻

Hmm so seems like videos from Loops are still not synced by itself. But if you copy the link to an video and search for that on Mastodon the video is getting shown. After you did that it will also appear on the Loops account on Mastodon.
At least that's what happens for me on Fedilab and my Loops account. I think this is not how it is intended to work.

Is all you need to do to make a #Mastodon "#quoteToot" typing "RE: " at the start of a line and then the link?
Because if that's all it is, anyone can do it without any controls at all. Maybe it just doesn't show up as a full previewed/embedded quote toot if the quoted user hasn't allowed quote tooting?

I’m firmly on Team Mastodon as my primary forum. I peek at Bsky but I find it mostly to be one-sided broadcast of stuff.
I almost never post there, but I do repost on occasion. All that is to say there’s no good reason for anyone to follow me there.
Yet, I get a regular trickle of follows of dubious origin. Most have no meaningful profile info, or post vacuous statements like the following (from an actual followers profile):
“Find yourself through words and thoughts; be a good listener and express yourself well. Believe that all your gentleness and hard work will eventually shine in the future.”
Maybe I’m just too cynical, but that just looks like BS to make the profile look real for a bot.
Meanwhile, I get to interact with the best shitposters in the Fediverse.
