#LinkedIn is designed for the needs of the hiring managers, not the developers. You can not be on the job market anonymously, any one can see your name. You should have the option to not display your name, and only release it upon request.
It would be nice to see all the companies in your area doing your kind of work, so you could wait for an opening at the company nearest you.
And we need to get rid of AI submitting CVs to be reviewed by AI.
There are other issues as well.

Got into a political debate in LinkedIn.
He deleted my comment (it was the most popular) since he didn’t like my arguments.
Whats wild is that all traces of it disappeared. All the other comments bellow gone. All notifications vanished. As if it never existed.
What a poor platform.

Some highly skillful and wealthy tech people are not on LinkedIn. Good for them. The only way to reach them is to have common interests.
If you aren't up there, I would advice you to sign up at least #LinkedIn to research people from the company, reach out to recruiters and stay in touch with interviewers. Btw ignore all the bragging posts. ;-)
