Dear git users,
please stop to add a "v"-prefix to your version string of a git tag. Please try to not use text in generall, keep it to numbers and dots instead! But it you need to add text, limit yourself to lower case at least.
There are people and tooling that needs to deal with this.
(extra points when signing your tags!)
