#Mastodon: Microblogging im Twitter‑Stil (kurze Beiträge, Boosts, Hashtags, Timelines)
Friendica: „Alles‑in‑einem“-Netzwerk lange Beiträge, Kontakte organisieren, Gruppen/Foren
Mastodon: Hauptsächlich ActivityPub
#Friendica: ActivityPub plus zusätzlich u. a. das Diaspora‑Protokoll; kann auch via Add‑ons mit externendicen Diensten (z. B. RSS, E‑Mail) arbeiten.
Mastodon: Kurze Posts (instanzabhängiges Limit)
Friendica: Sehr lange Beiträge mit Titeln
Mastodon: Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq; eher ressourcenhungrig
Friendica: PHP, MariaDB/MySQL; läuft oft auch auf einfacheren/Shared‑Hosting‑Umgebungen
Die Bedienoberfläche ist ganz anders als wie auf Mastodon, gewöhnungsbedürftig ist mir klar aber ich liebe solche Herausforderungen.😃
Mein Ziel an mich Handbuch schnappen und loslegen.😃

I wanted each topical toot to be structurally at the same level. Conceptually this feels right for a wish list with replies, especially if other people add wish list items.
It also means that the #thread structure will look right on Facebook-like platforms like #Friendica and #Hubzilla.
