Sure #fediverse has no algorithm, no corporate owners, all that wonderful anti-big tech goodness. What if despite that it is and has always been the right answer to the wrong question?
Certainly #Mastodon does not inherently create the neediness in me that has me obsessively check my posts for engagement. Even as I haughtily declare such things don't matter to me. What if the whole interaction model is flawed, unhealthy, toxic?

Im Freibad darf jeder rein, egal ob Brust-, Kraul- oder Bauchklatscher. Im #Fediverse scheint’s eher: Nur wer im Gleichschwimm mit der Mehrheit ist. Lars meint: weniger Gesinnungs-Steg, mehr Sprungbrett für Vielfalt. Und ja, notfalls hält der Bademeister auch den Shitstorm aus.
