Asking #Fediverse server moderators, most specifically those of you who consider yourself not just moderators but actually in charge of serving a more or less well defined community on your systems: How do you handle more controversial moderation decisions on your system, like, blocking certain users, limiting instances, defederating Threads or the Bluesky bridge, that kind of stuff. Do you have any practises, procedures, ... on how to gather community feedback on that, on how to make these decisions? Do you keep these decision processes transparent? How many people in your community (count, percentage, ...) does it need to (not) make such a decision, or do you count at all? Any thoughts to share on that? Really curious to read your feedback here. Boosts welcome.
