Wenn die Timelines in den einzelnen Instanzen soweit nicht funktionieren, dass Follower sich mit ihren Beiträgen gegenseitig nicht sehen, ist das für mich eine Erklärung, warum immer wieder Menschen die es hier im Fediverse versucht haben, zu den althergebrachten Bigtech-Plattformen mangels Aufmerksamkeit und Anerkennung mittels Teilen/Favorisieren, zurückkehren.
Ich weiss ja nicht, wie das technisch funktioniert, aber kann man da nicht etwas nachbessern?

Had a problem. Asked for help on Reddit - post got taken down by Reddit's filters (whatever that's supposed to mean). Asked for help on Lemmy - got a bunch of people to help me - problem fixed. Will definitely use Lemmy more now.

when they construct the language of laws based on the paradigm that "everybody knows" the point of #socialMedia is to "spy and collect all private information like a hoover vacuum to capitalize on that data"
then the fact that #mastodon #fediverse doesn't give a fuck means that the law is speaking a foreign language
it doesn't mean the law can't still be punitive regardless, but it means the law's construction completely misses you
not complete immunity, but close
