So it doesn't matter - in regards to #monetization and #marketing on #WebSocial - or on #Mastodon, #Fediverse, whatevs.
People are going to follow their bliss, whether or not it is #ethical or not - and there's nothing you can do about it, except block users - or even entire platforms.
This is the crux of such a decentralized network, which could be problematic and cause fragmentation.
I think it's therefore a good idea for individual platforms to outline what they think is right for them.

Stündlich muss man mittlerweile durch seine Instanz gehen und die ganzen #Spam Beiträge löschen. Auch wenn die Accounts irgendwann auf deren Instanz gesperrt werden - die ganzen zahlreichen Beiträge jedes einzelnen Spam-Accounts sind ja trotzdem noch auf jeder Instanz vorhanden und werden scheinbar nicht zurückgezogen.
Mittlerweile sind es nun seit Freitag, 29.08.2025, also seit wenigen Tagen, schon 32 Spam-Accounts, die ich auf meiner Instanz finden konnte. Auf dem Bild sind 35 Accounts zu sehen, die Differenz ist noch aus "Nicole"-Zeiten.
Jeder einzelne Spam-Account verbreitet zahlreiche Post bzw. Kommentare. Alleine auf meiner Instanz sind das mehrere hunderte.
Wer auch immer noch meint, das bisschen Spam wäre doch kein Problem - doch. Ist es. Nicht nur, dass unnötig Ressourcen verschwendet werden durch so einen Schwachsinn, hier fällt auch Zeit an, die man für wichtigere Dinge nutzen könnte.
Für die Statistiker: 28 Accounts davon sind von mastodon.social.

Hab eben Trunks für Mastodon getestet. Zumindest im Browser, da es keine App in f-droid gibt. Man könnte zwar die APK installieren, doch auch wieder nur über dritte, da sie selbst keine zur Verfügung stellen. Zumindest hab ich keine gefunden. –No-Go–
Test im Browser ist aber auch durchgefallen. Ich konnte keinen Live-Feed finden, um lokale oder föderierte Beiträge zu sehen. Lediglich den Home-Feed. Wenn es den Live-Feed doch geben sollte, nur eben versteckt oder verschachtelt, gibt es dafür dennoch den –No-Go– Stempel.
Was die Farben angeht, hab ich eher gemischte Gefühle. Schön, dass sie einige Farbpaletten anbieten, doch ich habe nicht die Möglichkeit zur Konfiguration dieser entdeckt. Schade, aber kein Beinbruch.
Fazit: Für mich noch eine Baustelle, die noch viel Zeit braucht, bis dieser Client benutzbar wird. Ich bleibe dann erstmal beim original, der ist nicht hübsch, doch bietet (fast) alle Funktionen.
