I tried importing my following list from another instance, containing 257 individual fediverse instances.
I could not follow accounts of 95 of those instances due to reach-ability issues over the current internet protocol aka #IPv6.
This is only 37% of the total instances I was looking at. Great job of the instance admins of the remaining 63%

The number of people who care about this (800+ boosts on the below post so far) is proof that Mastodon should have a native groups feature. I know this would change how I use Mastodon in a positive way. It can be really hard to find your people on here with the lack of algorithms and federation issues. If there were groups that were easy to find and pushed all the posts in the group to every member, that would improve discoverability and community cohesion on Mastodon so much.
I think it's time we implement this feature, get everyone and their posts together, 3, 2, 1 let's jam
