Das "Social Web" bedeutet die Verschmelzung von Webseite und Social Network. Domain, Subdomain, Hashtags und/oder einzelne Texte können abonniert werden (Follower), jedeR mit einem Fediverse-Account kann in die Diskussion zu Texten auf einer Webseite einsteigen (wenn zur Kommentierung freigegeben).
Alle Veröffentlichungen auf einer Domain oder Subdomain, aber auch Hashtags oder einzelne Texte und dazugehörige Diskussionen, denen ich folge, erscheinen in meiner Fediverse-Timeline - sinnvollerweise dann auch mit der Möglichkeit, das Ganze nach Threads und Subthreads zu sortieren.
Und was ist der große Vorteil, wenn Webseite und Social Network verschmelzen? Während die Hemmschwelle, ein neues Social Network zu betreten, sehr hoch sind, ist die Hemmschwelle bei einer neuen Webseite extrem niedrig. Wie könnten wir leichter andere Menschen ins Fediverse ziehen als über diesen Weg?
Die ActivityPub-Spezifikation gibt diese Verschmelzung von Webseite und SocialNetwork her.
